iCREATE project is implementing under Interreg-IPA CBC Bulgaria-Turkey Programme.

Project duration: 14 months (March 2017 – June 2018)
Project Budget: 84 575,12 EUR

The objectives:
The prime objective of this project is increasing the touristic attractiveness of the Strandja cross border region through reviving of its cultural heritage and its old traditions and creating needful infrastructure
and partnership for applying of these traditional skills and their successfully promotion.

Target Groups:
Young people from Kirklareli and Bourgas Regions, namely the people living in the Strandjan’s rural area. Local craftsmen that will be engaged in the project activities and recieve opportunity to promote their skills and products.

Project Partners

Lead Partner: Regional Chamber of Skilled Crafts Burgas is a legal non-profit entity incorporated under the Crafts Act in 2002. Members are legal entities that are financially independent of each other and are free to choose theit priorities for work in their own region. One of the main tasks of the RCC is to support state and municipal governments in their efforts to promote the development of crafts and ensuring the quality of the craft services and in the development of regulations, programs and projects related to crafts. In the register of the RCC Burgas entered 2036 masters, journeymen and apprentices sitting for journeyman and master examinations for acquiring the appropriate level of qualification. The Chamber supports its members in the organization and implementation of crafts training and upgrading of professional qualifications.

Project Partner: KAR-DER Kırklareli Amateur Artists Association is a one from the few organizayions working actively in Kirklareli region with non-profit aim and in the field of culture, promotion local crafts and arts and popularization of the local tourism opportunities through stimulation development of the local crafts.The organization starts its activities in 2010 and has more than 60 members, represemtatives of different sectors of arts and crafts as painters, local journeymen, ect. The organization has an experience in organization and realization of different national and international events, exhibations and training courses.
